The reason that the income trust tax shelter was ended was because very large companies were starting to get in the act. Corporate tax revenues were in danger of falling off drastically.
If the Liberals reinstate this then presumably the large companies will be back in the game.
Dion needs to explain how these lost tax revenues will be made up for, especially given the expensive election promises he has been making.

The Globe and Mail toned down the rhetoric to merely potential this morning.
