With all the crap going on in Ottawa one truth has escaped the entire mediasphere:
if MPs attacked the real problems of this country with the zeal they have demonstrated in their response to the removal of their government funding, the issues of consequence that face our nation would seem as a trifle as we leap from one problem to the next, dispatching them with sureness and efficiency.
It's rock solid proof that politicians love themselves first; their country second. So much for "peace, order, and good government."

That seems to be far too much common sense for the DippyLiblockheads and their #1 cheerleader, the media, to comprehend.
Isn't it true if the government falls, then all those measures such as capping M.P.'s salaries and cutting their expenses also die?
Yes, I agree. The Libs and NDP only act when their funding is at stake, and the Tories have no interest in cutting the donor tax credit out of the exact same trough. They're all disgusting.
Don't get me started on the Bloc.
Funny how the tens of millions in funding for PMO, minister's political staffs, endless travel budgets etc... were not even mentioned in the so-called "belt tightening" exercise - only the funding that was put in place to help replace funding which came from donations from groups that are no longer allowed.
Harper's goal appears to be a one party state, which is beyond silly.
Also, apparently you now feel that money shoudl be the key factor in determining how successfully political parties can run eleciton campaigns.
Interesting.
Well said, Kirk.
