A couple of days ago Stephane Dion was quoted saying he might let the budget pass if it isn't "too harmful to the economy". That implies two things. First, he has already made up his mind that the upcoming budget will be hurtful to our economy. Second, that despite what he believes is a hurtful budget, he is willing to sit on his hands and pass it anyway.
So what's the story Stephane? If you truly believe the budget will hurt the economy, how could you possibly allow it to pass? Where is your principle? Where is the courage to stand by your convictions? Where is the willingness to put your money where your mouth is? Where is the bravado that was so visible just two weeks ago? First you were going to bring the government down over the crime bill. Then it was Afghanistan. Then it was the budget. What's it gonna be?
Are you going to bluff, or call?

Shouldn't that be fold or call?

Unless Dion wants to be demoted to "Former Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada", all he has to do is visualize the highly likely scenario of the day after the election, and then decide to let the budget pass.
Platty,
Right you are! Sharp eye.
